Fully automatic carton production line is an advanced piece of carton equipment at present, integrating corrugated board printing, slotting, gluing, folding, bonding, stacking, counting and packaging functions. A carton palletizer can also be optionally equipped. It adopts PLC control and supports order operation and management via touch screen. The whole machine features high production capacity and can meet the shorter delivery cycle requirements of carton customers.

Technical Data of Carton Bottom-Folding Integrated Production Line:

I. Equipment Definition and Core Positioning

Carton Bottom-Folding Integrated Production Line (also known as Bottom-Folding Gluing & Folding Line, Drop-Type Carton Gluing and Folding Line) is a high-speed automated integrated production line for the post-processing of corrugated cartons. Its core function is to continuously complete the full process of waste stripping, gluing, folding, bonding, straightening, counting, stacking and packaging of printed/die-cut paperboards via the bottom-folding process. It can be directly connected to the front-end printing, slotting and die-cutting machine, realizing one-stop unmanned/semi-automated production from paperboards to finished cartons.

II. Core Structure and Working Process

1. Standard Component Units

  1. Waste Stripping Unit: Driven by an independent servo motor, equipped with paper pressing wheels, fans and brushes for automatic removal of die-cutting waste; left and right belts adopt servo deviation correction to adjust the paperboard position in real time, suitable for paperboards of different sizes.
  2. Gluing Unit: Equipped with stainless steel gluing wheels or spray glue system, featuring uniform glue output and corrosion resistance; the glue hopper is positioned by linear guide rails for precise adjustment; optional roller gluing or high-pressure spray gluing is available, adaptable to paperboards with a thickness of 1–9mm.
  3. Bottom-Folding Unit: The core process unit adopting a drop-type bottom-folding structure. It conducts secondary correction of creasing lines through straightening plates to fold the paperboard downward for forming, avoiding edge warping and misalignment problems easily caused by top-folding; the folding belt is powered independently, ensuring stable operation and long service life.
  4. Bonding & Straightening Unit: Clamped and conveyed by upper and lower belts to ensure firm bonding and square carton forming; servo baffle for precise positioning, guaranteeing forming accuracy within ±1mm.
  5. Counting & Stacking Unit: Driven by a servo motor with drop-type paper delivery, realizing automatic counting and stacking; the quantity per stack is adjustable from 10 to 30 pieces, and it can handle 25 stacks per minute, solving the problem of paperboard shear difference.
  6. Packaging & Output Unit: Connected to a full-automatic bundling machine for direct output after bundling; optional carton palletizer can be equipped to realize automatic palletizing and warehousing of finished products.

2. Standard Working Process

Front-end Printed/Die-Cut Paperboard → Waste Stripping → Gluing → Bottom-Folding → Bonding & Straightening → Counting & Stacking → Packaging → Finished Carton Output

III. Core Technical Features

  1. Full Servo + PLC Intelligent Control: Centralized control by the whole machine PLC, operated via touch screen, supporting order storage, one-key order change and parameter memory; coordinated operation of multiple sets of servo motors, with precise actions, fast response and no jamming during high-speed operation.
  2. Advantages of Bottom-Folding Process: Compared with top-folding, bottom-folding features more stable forming and higher carton squareness, suitable for mass standardized products such as express cartons and e-commerce cartons; it completely eliminates paperboard slipping, edge warping and misalignment, ensuring consistent bonding quality.
  3. High Speed and High Efficiency: Maximum speed up to350 pieces per minute (or 300 meters per minute), with an hourly capacity of 60,000 to 90,000 cartons; double-row models can double the capacity, suitable for large-batch production.
  4. Low-Labor Operation: Only 2–4 operators are required for the whole line, reducing manual intervention, labor costs and human errors.
  5. Strong Compatibility: Compatible with printing, slotting and die-cutting machines of various brands, and electrical control synchronization can be completed within 2 hours; suitable for 3-layer and 5-layer corrugated paperboards with a thickness of 2–8mm, covering paperboard sizes from 420×170mm (No.12 carton) to 1200×2900mm.
  6. Safety and Reliability: Each unit is equipped with emergency stop switches, pneumatic interlocks and running warning bells; key transmission parts adopt imported bearings and high-speed belts, ensuring stable operation and low failure rate.
